In order to get ready for the upcoming trial in To Kill a Mockingbird, I want you to play a role in creating a press release or a promotional poster monologue that will provoke the people of Maycomb to attend. In order to do this, you must include the following: 5 of this week's vocabulary words, at least one quote from the novel, and the identification of all simple sentences (to be colored one other color than your font). This should have an introduction, body, and conclusion. As you write your press release or monologue, keep in mind the hype behind the trial. Which side will you be on and promoting in your shout out to Maycomb? Be creative, and use the book for references. Keep in mind the mood you want to set for the reader as you try to persuade them to view the trial of the decade!
HELP SUPPORT TOM ROBINSON, FOR HE IS INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY
It is easy to believe that a Negro man will attempt to rape a white female. But why would a negro put himself in that situation like that. I do not think Tom Robinson raped the Mr. Ewell's daughter. Maybe she asked him for a favor and since it's polite for him to do that favor he did it. She could've had the whole thing planned out. Now he could've raped her, but when have you ever heard of Tom Robinson getting into trouble. If Tom Robinson is guilty there will be a very big punishment and I am quite sure that everyone will want to hear what it is. If he is guilty I think that the punishment should not be as severe as the jury would want it. Only because there is still a chance that mr. Ewell's daughter was lying.
The Ewell's are probably very infuriated with the trail. It doesn't matter who's side you're on, you should still come to support both sides or just one. I am not on anyone's side until I hear both sides of the story.
